
At Somatic Play and Wellness with Matty Moon, I am dedicated to providing a safe, supportive space where individuals can be seen and heard throughout their personal process. I guide youth, adults, and families in exploring their inner world through music, movement, breath, and intuitive somatic practices. By slowing down and engaging with these modalities, we uncover core beliefs, deepen self-awareness, and create room for growth and healing.
Music with Mr. Matt - Youth
Our children can easily find themselves overwhelmed, stressed, anxious and stuck in grief. We all need a little help navigating these processes with a safe and trusted guide. As a father of two, I’ve seen firsthand the overwhelm, both in my children and myself.
It's important we take the time to notice. To notice how we feel, to notice what our minds are thinking about, and to notice what our bodies are doing. As simple as these principals may sound, they can be very difficult to track, and very helpful.
“Music with Mr. Matt” is a time spent exploring your child’s inner rhythms and connecting them with their voices and instruments as tools for regulation and awareness.
This somatic music approach, focuses less on music theory or memorization, and on the more playful, storytelling side of music, meeting the child where they are. And together we find a playful way of safely helping them find what the need. We know these difficult early developmental feelings, if not fully felt, can stay with us our whole lives. The more our children can find freedom now, the less they will have to untangle from in adulthood.
Together, we will find a song, a beat, or a little melody to hum, reminding your child (and you) to breathe and to go slow. To stop, check in, and find a little more play in this world.

Adult
In a rapid moving society, we can often find ourselves stuck in feelings of confusion and overwhelm, anxiety, depression and ADHD.
Through these sessions, you will be learning to slow everything in your system down, and together we will begin working on somatic tracking through your body. This can start to unlock all of those stuck pieces in your life, so you can live in a more peaceful and present state of body and mind.
In these sessions, we will be accessing your tools of awareness, and finding a routine that suits you, to help you find grounding and presence in your life.
Our sessions will always have a focus on breathing and slowing down what is coming up for you daily. Also inviting in movement and sound, and maybe a little game to help loosen things up...
*** I’ve recently started working alongside “Maxi (Max) Moon”, my Golden Retriever sidekick, in my sessions. He brings an amazing grounding, calm presence and he offers very sweet snuggles and affection when people are open to it.

Family
Our children are like mirrors. They reflect back to us the wounds from our childhood. They also offer us an opportunity to heal from these wounds. They offer us a chance to change the family patterns that hurt us. If not now, when?
This is a 3-part package, first we would meet 1-on-1 with the adult(s), then 1-on-1 with the child, and then finally a 1-on-2 session (90 min) with the three (or more) of us.
How can we invite in a little more peace and closeness with our family?
I will help you each identify some of the hard to see patterns that you and your family are currently seeing, and we would find some playful ways to clear the fog that has you feeling stuck with your child.

Are you feeling confused, lost, anxious, depressed, stuck, tired or overwhelmed?
Life can sometimes feel like a walk through the forest. Some days are perfect—other days, are just not fun—stuck in a bramble bush, it’s getting dark, you’ve lost your trail marker and can’t remember the path back home.
Are you standing in the forest, asking for help? I don’t know your exact path home, but I know the forest well. I have a steady arm to lean on, and a nice bright lantern. I have a faithful dog to lead, and together we can safely find your way home.
Through this six-part series, we will explore three helpful questions, with a different emphasis on each session, some on your thoughts, some on your feelings, and some on what you are doing. We will create an at-home daily practice for you that feels both obtainable and sustainable.
By the end of this series, my dream is that you will feel more equipped to handle whatever brambles the forest may place in your path, and that you will find a deep sense of inner peace through knowing yourself more fully.
